Fatherless teenager Coco has had to grow up too soon.
Thirty-something Ben has never grown up at all.
They should never have fallen in love...
Inspired by Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, this bold retelling of a passionate encounter between East and West sees recklessly hedonistic accounts manager Ben away in Manila in the Philippines for a brief work assignment just as his marriage to Alex is hitting the rocks. There he meets Cachi, a hard-working IT engineer, who sends every penny he earns back home to support his widowed mother and younger brother. As the two fall desperately in love, their all-consuming relationship spirals out of control, and it’s not only their lives changed forever.
